Above Your Head, Below Their Feet starts from the notion of ‘glocal.‘ The term conglomerates ‘global’ and ‘local,’ well representing our contemporary condition of living in which the two notions coexist in a dizzying degree of hybridity.
A site of (a now ended) struggle against a forced eviction is standing above where you are now; a new railway under construction lies below. Located in between the two, the current exhibition aims to provide starting points to review what is global and local. Incidents, revolutions, redevelopment, space, history, or the very thing that you are thinking of: It exists above your head, below their feet, and right here where you are standing.
