Work on Work would like to share what they have done in Korea and ask those in Berlin about their situation and thoughts. What is their agenda? What and why have they done such things? Work on Work is a collaborative effort on contemporary art, currently comprised of Hyejin Jang and Jaeyong Park. After working in art institutions for a few years, the two decided to become independent, and organized an experimental project where artists with seemingly different orientation and direction towards artistic practice in public space were given the streets of Seoul at their exhibition venue, or project space. Titled HIT and RUN (2011), the project was to explore the notion of independence, (public) space, and the way of working together with artists as curators, or, organizers. During and after the project, Jang and Park did not only organized ‘public interventions,’ but also organized programs and exhibitions within and with institutions. For Is there anything we can do for now?, Work on Work will discuss their trajectory of their practice, anticipating thoughts and questions from Berliners.
